(WACO) —Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND Board of Directors has endorsed incumbent Tracy O. King (D-Uvalde) for the Texas House District 80 seat in the 2020 Primary Election.
“Rep. King is the epitome of strong, assertive leadership. His colleagues have tremendous respect for his thoughts on major issues because they know he has done his homework,” said Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND President Russell Boening. “His leadership in the Texas House of Representatives has been invaluable to the farmers and ranchers of this state. Our organization strongly supports his reelection to the Texas House.”
The purpose of the AGFUND is to support candidates that support the issues important to Texas farmers, ranchers, and property owners.
“I am deeply grateful for the Texas Farm Bureau AGFUND endorsement and to have the trust of the local farmers and ranchers in our communities,” said King. “I will continue to protect and promote Agriculture in Texas.”

AGFUND is Texas Farm Bureau’s political action fund. It is a legal entity separate from the Texas Farm Bureau and may endorse and contribute to political candidates. AGFUND is funded by voluntary contributions from TFB members.
Representative Tracy O. King (D-Uvalde) is proud to announce his campaign for re-election to District 80 of the Texas House of Representatives. District 80 includes the counties of Dimmit, Frio, Uvalde, Zapata, Zavala and part of Webb. “I look forward to travelling throughout the district and renewing old friendships and forging new ones. Throughout his tenure in the Texas House, he has held numerous leadership positions and is currently the Chairman of the House Licensing and Administrative Procedures Committee. In addition to his chairmanship, he also serves on the Natural Resources Committee. In the past he has held positions on a variety other powerful committees including: Ways and Means, Appropriations Culture Recreation and Tourism, Environmental Regulation, and chaired the Border and International Affairs Committee and Agriculture and Livestock Committee.
As a local businessman, father, and husband, Representative King is keenly aware of the needs and challenges facing South and Southwest Texas families. Combined with his years of experience and proven record in the Texas House, he is unparalleled when it comes to knowing what to do and how to do it.
